작가를 투영한 개구리와 항상 곁에 있는 친구같은 어머니. 그 둘은 사계의 정취를 느끼는 여정을 통해 따뜻하고 행복한 시간들을 보낸다. 작가는 어머니와 보냈던 일상적인 순간을 떠올리며 그 때의 감정을 오롯이 담아내려고 한다. 그렇게 그림은 실재하는 장소를 대신하여 마음 속에 간직한 어머니의 포근한 심상을 떠오르게 하는 자연 속의 어딘가를 보여주고 있다. 작가는 현실에서는 꿈꿔보기 어려운 소중한 가족과의 동화 같은 여정을 상상하며 그렇게 어쩌면 잠시나마 마음이 쉴 수 있는 포근한 엄마의 품과 같은 무언가를 찾고 있는 지도 모르겠다. 차곡차곡 쌓여가는 여정 속에서 눈부시게 아름다웠을 모든 순간들이 지친 마음을 어루만져줄 수 있기를 바래본다.

 
The frog, a reflection of the artist, and his mother, a friend who is always by his side, spend a warm and happy time on a journey through the four seasons. The artist recalls everyday moments with her mother and tries to capture the emotions of those times. Instead of a real place, the paintings show a place in nature that evokes a cozy image of her mother that she keeps in her heart. The artist imagines a fairytale journey with her precious family that is difficult to dream of in real life, and maybe she is looking for something like a mother's embrace that can help her rest her mind for a while. I hope that all the moments that must have been dazzlingly beautiful in the gradually accumulating journey will be able to soothe my tired heart.
